The Entrepreneur set for Kano Auditions
Producers of The Entrepreneur TV Series, Inspire Media Production Company, has fixed next Monday through Wednesday 25 for auditioning of intending participants who desire kano as their preferred centre.
The programme sponsored by Ecobank and Vitamalt will be recieving entrepreneurs from the northern part of the country in the ancient city of Kano known as "The ancient seat of commerce".
Responding to questions from the media, Executive Director of Inspire Media Production Company, Goke Dokun, said the auditioning which will take place in three locations, Kano, Aba and Lagos will culminate in the selection of 60 people deemed to have met the standard criteria to participate in the TV Series.
In a statement, he said the Growing Business Foundation and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN) will manage the process of selecting qualified candidates.
This, he said, is as a result of their pedigree of supporting and determining worthwhile businesses over the years.
Dokun explained that those selected would come to Lagos to face the Panel that will determine those whose businesses or business ideas qualify to be supported with funds of up to one million naira.
The Candidate, who will be selected through a competitive presentation, is expected to impress the panel of four with their creativity and vision to be able to scale through to the final in Lagos. In his words “The Entrepreneur TV Series is designed as a platform to invest in innovative social Enterprises that will help achieve a positive social impact, alleviating poverty and empowering small businesses”
For him the programme is unique in several ways. First, it gives Nigerian micro-entrepreneurs the freedom to own their ideas, by allowing them access to required cash without interference on how they run it, as well as recognising the need to further empower the Nigerian Entrepreneur whom the world has acknowledged as being innovative but lacking the required funding to start up their businesses.
